How to Apply

Timeline

  • July—Applications accepted for the following academic year
  • December 1—Program begins reviewing applications
  • Mid-February—Interview invitations extended to qualified applicants
  • Late March-Early April—Interviews for invited applicants
  • Late September-Early October—Ranking lists due
  • Mid-October—Match Day results posted

For each appointment year, the fellowship begins on July 1 and ends on June 30 the following year. The program is approved for four (4) total fellow positions.

Application Process:

Applications will be accepted only through ERAS – ERAS for Fellowship Applicants 

The Pain Medicine Fellowship Program participates in the NRMP website for registration, ranking and result dates. 

Applications will be considered complete when they include:

  • Three (3) letters of recommendation one of which should be from your Program Director
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Medical school transcript
  • Copies of all USMLE board score results
  • Personal statement
  • Your personal statement should include a brief autobiography, your expectations of a fellowship program and a statement of your future career goals.
  • Recent Photo

For IMGs, you must have an ECFMG certificate. In addition, those applicants who are not USA citizens must be able to meet the current requirements for an appropriate USA visa and be eligible to work in the United States upon matriculation.

Your application will be reviewed upon completion. Interviews are offered to those candidates who meet our Department's criteria. Interviews are typically in late March and early April.
