The Pain Medicine Fellowship at the University of Iowa is a one-year, ACGME-accredited program that culminates in board certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology. The fellowship includes rotations in Acute Pain, EMG, Neurosurgery and Palliative Care.
The Center for Pain Medicine serves patients with chronic pain from both cancer and non-cancer related diagnoses. Multimodal treatment protocols are instituted, utilizing both interventional and non-interventional techniques.
The Center for Pain Medicine and Regional Anesthesia also features 6 general examination suites, 5 procedure rooms, 2 fluoroscopy suites and 2 psychology suites.
