We welcome applicants to apply to our institution for nephrology fellowship training. The Division of Nephrology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics uses the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) application process. We continue to endorse the “all in” participation in the NRMP match.

A complete ERAS application includes a curriculum vitae, a personal statement of the applicant’s interest in nephrology and long-term career goals, three letters of recommendation and notarized USMLE transcript for Steps 1, 2, 3 (if available). We would also appreciate an unmounted recent photograph to accompany your application. We do sponsor J-1 and H1b visas. Applicants are considered for interview without regard to race, color, religion, gender or national origin. For candidates selected to interview, we reimburse the cost for overnight hotel accommodations. We interview applicants from early August through the end of October and do our best to accommodate applicant interview schedules.
