Welcome to the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship, a 12-month program that consists of 75% inpatient care and 25% ambulatory care.
Fellowship Program Goals
Through diverse clinical experiences, formal instruction, feedback and mentoring, the Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Fellow will be able to:
- proficiently manage the advanced heart failure patient through the continuum of care, from the initial evaluation process through long-term follow-up care.
- manage short and long-term complications of transplant recipients.
- utilize UNOS guidelines and criteria for cardiac transplantation.
- apply multidisciplinary protocols to patient care.
- function effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary care team.
- obtain research experience in the Cardiomyopathy Treatment Program.
