Internal Medicine - Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship

Welcome

The goal of the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Training Program is to develop and enhance the fellow’s skills in the technical/procedural aspects of clinical electrophysiology with special emphasis on the steps leading to the appropriate choice of procedure including the indications, contraindications, risks and benefits of each alternative. The expectation is that the trainee’s involvement in the pre-procedure, procedural and post-procedural periods of patient care will provide him/her with a longitudinal experience in the application of clinical cardiac electrophysiology and will allow the fellow to be fully independent to perform and analyze the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiologic procedures.

The principle method for teaching clinical cardiac electrophysiology is centered around the patient and utilizes a “one-on-one” rotation and interaction between the fellow and the faculty attending.
