How to Apply

Only Central Application Service (CAS) applications will be accepted.

We take into consideration performance on the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), Central Application Services (CAS) applications, and CV, before extending an interview offer. Additional letters of recommendation are welcome, but not required. Ability to obtain an H1B visa and permanent Iowa license are required.

The application period for both the Surgical and Medical Retina Fellowships begins through the Central Application Service of the SF Match on July 1, 2021. For your application to be considered, we must receive it by our deadline of Aug. 20, 2021. Please be sure to allow enough time to ensure our receipt of your application materials on time.

Orientation for new fellows begins July 1, so you must be available for that start date and be licensed in Iowa by June 30.
