About
Why Iowa
I was initially attracted to UIHC for its long-standing reputation in neurology, particularly in stroke and neurointervention. During my research fellowship, I witnessed the program's commitment to resident growth through ample patient care and teaching opportunities in a high-volume facility with a large catchment area. This helps residents develop into well-rounded neurologists. Coupled with the CNS-TP program and research mentorship, it equips me for a career as a physician-scientist. All of that along with the lively Iowa City and its friendly people encouraged me to stay and join the Hawkeye family!
Professional/Research Interests
Career goals: Though I have subspecialty/research interests in stroke and interventional neurology, I am still open for all subspecialties of neurology. In the future, I envision myself in an academic institution, dedicating my time to patient care, research, and teaching students and residents.
Research interests: My main interests revolve around building international multicenter databases to answer scientific questions related to strokes and aneurysms.
