Why Iowa

The most compelling aspect of the program was the people. Creating a warm and welcoming environment over Zoom can be challenging, but I believe the faculty at Iowa achieved it. Combined with a great city, ample opportunities for exploration in the field of Neurology, and affordable living, Iowa became a clear choice for me.

Professional/Research Interests

The world of neurology offers such a vast array of interests which makes it difficult to narrow down prior to practice. I have enjoyed working in many of the fields of neurology ranging from the outpatient heavy neuromuscular clinic to the inpatient heavy stroke service. Each area holds its own unique appeal for me which makes me excited for the elucidation of my path in the future. Additionally, my experience tutoring classmates throughout school has kindled a passion for education, which I hope to continue exploring throughout my career in neurology.

More about me/interests

I enjoy anything that involves a board, whether it's wakeboarding, snowboarding, or anything similar. I also like staying physically active, reading science fiction, spending time with my partner, and hanging out with friends and family.
