Advanced Lung Disease and Transplantation

Welcome to the Advanced Lung Disease and Transplantation fellowship at the University of Iowa. As the only lung transplant center in the state, we are the referral center for patients with advanced lung disease from all over Iowa and neighboring states. Our training program provides an advanced level of clinical, research, and administrative subspecialty training in advanced lung disease and lung transplantation medicine. We aim to produce clinical and academic leaders in pulmonary transplant medicine. The program will provide the requirements for the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) to become a transplant pulmonologist and medical director of a transplant program in the future.
