Our fellows are exceptional candidates for awards where they are recognized nationally and internationally. Recent retina fellows have won awards such as the Retina Society Fellow Research Award, VitreoRetinal Surgery Foundation Research Award, and Heed Fellowship. Graduates of our program have won innumerable distinguished awards from non-ophthalmic and ophthalmic communities such as the Macula Society, Retina Society, ARVO, ASRS (co-founded by UIowa retina fellow alum), and AAO.
