Why Iowa
I like pathology because of the balanced and rigorous AP/CP training. In addition, because UI Hospitals & Clinics is a tertiary care center, we gain exposure to a variety of specimens and diagnoses, ranging widely in terms of rarity and complexity.
Professional/Research Interests
Career goals: I plan to stay in academic medicine, and pursue fellowship training in both neuropathology and forensics.
Research interests: The intersection between neuropathlogy, epidemiology, and psychiatry, particularly as it relates to affective disorders and suicide.
