Why Iowa

Our institution provides the opportunity to gain comprehensive training in all surgical subspecialities. Our patients travel here from across the state and surrounding areas to seek the quality of care we provide. I chose Iowa because I wanted my training to prepare me in becoming a competent surgeon with diverse training, all while creating a collaborative learning environment where I would gain hands-on experience from the very start. It was imperative for me to belong to a program that finds new ways support its residents with innovation in surgical education and shows investment in DEI efforts.
