Diversity is a critical part of the Carver College of Medicine's (CCOM) research, education and clinical care goals. Diverse students, Postdoctoral trainees, residents/fellows, faculty, staff and patient population help provide a richer educational and work experience for all. The Office Diversity, Equity and Inclusion works closely with administrative offices, student groups, and community partners to foster an environment where all members of the CCOM community feel welcome.
The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion sponsors several programs for prospective pre-health students:
- Summer Health Professions Education Program at the University of Iowa
- Opportunities for Undergraduates
- Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students
