Meet Michelle Bader, RDCS 

Tell us about your background. I got an AAS degree in Echocardiography from Lone Star College in Houston, TX.  I am registered in adult, pediatric and fetal echo.  My current position is Echocardiographer in the Heart and Vascular Center.  I have been here almost 2 years, but have been in this field for 8 years.

Why did you pick sonography as a career field?  I was interested in a career in the medical imaging field.  I did some job shadowing and research and echo turned out to be a great fit for me. 

What is your favorite exam? My favorite kind of echo to do is aortic stenosis evaluations.

Advice for anyone interested in the sonography field?  This is a great career to get into because there is something different every day!
