Welcome New Faculty to the Department of Radiology!

The Department of Radiology is very pleased to welcome the following new faculty to our team:


Mohammad Amarneh, MD

Mohammad Amarneh, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor, joined the Divisions of Vascular and Interventional Radiology and Pediatric Radiology.  Dr. Amarneh received his MD at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Medicine, in Ramtha, Jordan.  He received residency training in pediatrics at both the King Hussein Cancer Center in Amman, Jordan, as well as the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  Dr. Amarneh later became a resident in Diagnostic Radiology at UIHC, and went on to complete two fellowships: one in Pediatric Radiology at UIHC, and one in Pediatric Interventional Radiology at Boston Children's Hospital in Massachussetts.  

 

 

 

 

 


 


Girish Bathla, MBBS

Girish Bathla, MBBS, MMed, FRCR, Clinical Assistant Professor, joined the Division of Neuroradiology.  Dr. Bathla received his MBBS and completed a residency in Medical Radiodiagnosis at Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi, in India.  He went on to receive his MMeD in Diagnostic Radiology at the National University of Singapore.  Dr. Bathla joined the Diagostic Radiology Residency Program at UIHC and went on to complete a fellowship in Neuroradiology at UIHC as well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Nobuhiro Fujita, MD, PhD

Nobuhiro Fujita, MD, PhD, Visiting Associate Professor, joined the Division of Body Imaging.  Dr. Fujita received both his MD and PhD at Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan.  He trained as a resident in Radiology at Hamanomachi Hospital and National Hospital Organization Kyushu Cancer Center, both in Fukuoka, Japan.  Dr. Fujita is currently an assistant professor at Kyushu University Hospital.  He will focus on clinical work and research with the department through 2020.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Prashant Nagpal, MBBS

Prashant Nagpal, MBBS, joined the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Imaging Division as a clinical assistant professor.  Dr. Nagpal received his medical training at University College of Medical Sciences at Delhi University in India.  He completed Radiology residency training at Maulana Azad Medical College at Delhi University.  He went on to complete residency in Diagnostic Radiology at UIHC, and a fellowship in Cardivascular Imaging from Brigham and Women's Hospital at Harvard Medical School.
