Dr. Gundry’s major interests are in optimizing breast imaging practice and education of patients, resident, and medical students.  She has lectured nationally on numerous topics in breast imaging and has created patient educational materials.  Dr. Gundry has taken an active role in ensuring quality care to underserved populations in Atlanta and was the first radiologist to participate in the American College of Pathology cervical and breast cancer screening program for the Native American population in Rosebud, South Dakota.  She has looked for ways to progress the clinical services by creating the first radioactive seed localization program in the state of Georgia.  She developed the breast MRI programs at both Emory University Hospital and Grady Memorial Hospital.  Dr. Gundry provided leadership to obtain recognition from the American College of Radiology as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence for Grady Memorial Hospital.
