Laura Collins, RN BSN HP(ASCP), Assistant Laboratory Manager in the DeGowin Blood Center, was recently elected as Vice President of the American Society for Apheresis (ASFA). ASFA has existed since 1982 with a mission to advance apheresis medicine for patients, donors and practitioners. Ms. Collins previously served the past two years as Secretary on the Board of Directors. She will serve as Vice President for one year, followed by a term as President-Elect and then President. Congratulations, Laura, on your new appointment.
