The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine has been granted an Unrestricted Grant by Research to Prevent Blindness (RPB) to support eye research conducted by the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. The grant award in the amount of $115,000 per year is based on a thorough review of criteria, including the department’s research activities, laboratory environment, and clinical and scientific staff.

“We are grateful for the continued support of RPB which allows our researchers and clinician-scientists to pursue promising projects with long-term clinical implications,” states Keith Carter, MD, department chair.
